MADE4WIND aims to develop and test innovative components’ concepts for a 15MW offshore Floating Wind Turbine (FWT) consisting of new designs and manufacturing techniques for blades, substructure, and drivetrain. MADE4WIND plans to develop and validate several innovations to design, manufacture and operate FWT components, capable of improving the viability, lifetime and sustainability of offshore wind energy the viability, lifetime and sustainability of offshore wind energy installed in deep waters, thus facilitating the mass deployment of offshore wind energy while minimising the environmental impact.
