WP3 will provide the geotechnical and morphodynamic design parameters and performance metrics for the design of the INF4INiTY innovations

WP3 Geotechnical and Morphodynamic Analysis

WP3 provides the geotechnical and morphodynamic parameters and performance metrics required for the design of INF4INiTY innovations, supporting both general and site-specific engineering of gravity anchors with scour protection.

The work package determines soil characteristics, liquefaction susceptibility, and scour behavior at the three case study sites and develops validated surrogate soils for physical model tests. In addition, WP3 carries out small-scale experimental validation of the WP1 designs and numerical simulations to study foundation behavior, sediment transport, sand wave interactions, and the sinking or tilting of gravity anchors under wave, current, and seismic loads.

WP3 also delivers holistic geotechnical and morphodynamic models, providing essential design parameters, guidelines, and data for WP1 to ensure optimized, safe, and environmentally compatible gravity anchor and scour protection systems.
