WP6 will perform the technology validation of the INF4INiTY innovations in a relevant environment by performing large scale (1:15) model tests of the combined innovations.
WP6 Technology Validation and Standardisation
WP6 validates the INF4INiTY innovations at wind farm scale through large-scale (1:15) model tests of the integrated nature Inclusive gravity anchors and their associated scour protection and floating structure with artificial reef structures. The work package ensures the achievement of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 and supports the path towards higher TRLs beyond the project.
Tasks include the design and construction of large-scale physical models, installation of realistic seabed surrogates, and execution of combined wind, wave, and current loading tests. Results are analysed to understand wave-current-structure-seabed interactions and inform design improvements.
Additionally, WP6 collects and evaluates relevant standards for the INF4INiTY innovations, identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance for future offshore wind standardisation, ensuring the innovations are ready for real-world deployment.
