WP7 Techno-Environomics and Impact Analysis
WP7 develops the INF4INiTY optimisation framework, integrating technical, economic, and socio-environmental aspects to enable holistic design and decision-making. It incorporates an enhanced Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) model that accounts for financial costs, environmental externalities, and social impacts, providing a realistic assessment of floating offshore wind investments.
The work package covers modelling of socio-environmental impacts, installation, operation and maintenance, and decommissioning, development of the optimisation tool, and life-cycle and impact assessments. Outputs include site-specific design alternatives, guidance for sustainable deployment, and support for strategic decision-making, ensuring that INF4INiTY innovations deliver maximum environmental, social, and economic value.
